LAST APOLLO

MAIN SHOT (1).jpg

Recognised as ‘One to Watch’ by publications such as The Irish Times, Hotpress and Loud Women, artist Last Apollo (a.k.a Lucy Rice) has gained momentum across streaming services but it is ultimately her astounding live shows that has lead to the cult following Rice has steadily cultivated. Last Apollo effortlessly commands the attention of any crowd and ensnares them with her haunting lyrics and uniquely dynamic vocal style. Placing great value on literary influences as well as musical ones, Last Apollo’s songs are as intricately crafted lyrically as they are musically - each word is deliberate, weighted and merely amplified by her emotionally-charged vocal delivery. Striking a perfect balance between quiet, reflective moments and a louder, rougher edge, Last Apollo has refined a sound so arresting it's impossible not to stop dead in your tracks when hearing her peform. Her influences include PJ Harvey, Patti Smith and Indigo De Souza.

Recent performances of note include: A chamber orchestra setting of her newest collection of songs at The Button Factory, Ireland, a UK and Irish tour including headline dates in Dublin, London and Galway.  International festival appearances at Primavera (Barcelona) and Pro-Weekend Fest (Valencia) and national festival appearances at Electric Picnic, Night and Day, Whelan’s Ones to Watch and Ireland Music Week, and a poetry and literature-infused headline concert at the CCI Paris alongside writers Caelainn Hogan and Stephanie Conn.
